TAA MINISTERIAL ADVISORY BOARD VISITS TANZANIA AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY CENTRE

Ministerial Advisory Board for Tanzania Airports Authority made an official tour at Tanzania Automotive Technology Centre (TATC-Nyumbu) to observe the ongoing repair of fire and rescue systems for TAA properties at their centre in Kibaha, Pwani region.

Explaining about the ongoing repairs; Director of Technology, Major Simon Rwegashora told the Board members that on May 2020, he received two fire and rescue systems branded Kronenburg and Fresia Naffoco that had problems in the engine and body.

"All the two systems have been inspected and repair has started where the repair for Fresia Naffoco is at 70 percent and the Kronenburg system repair is at 30 percent",said Major Rwegashora.

The Board members were thankful for the report and progress of the repair of the systems and explained the importance of having fire and rescue systems at airports due to the fact that it determines which airport category one is in depending on the number of systems an airport has.
